About this Design

The design features a dark silhouette of a samurai in traditional armor, kneeling in profile with a sword. Behind him is a large white moon encircled by red camellia flowers and green leaves, creating a striking contrast. To the left, Japanese kanji adds an element of mystery and cultural depth.

@ES427

The Tsubaki flower reflects the Samurai's **Aesthetics of a Dignified Death**, where the manner of dying is more important than the length of one's life. Just as **Seppuku** is performed to preserve honor or take responsibility, the Tsubaki falls while its petals are still **vibrant and fresh**, rather than waiting to wither and dry. This correlates with the Samurai philosophy of choosing to die at the peak of glory and honor instead of enduring a long life of disgrace or frailty.
