About this Design

Black and white ink illustration of a Humboldt penguin sat with it's head thrown back demanding some food! This penguin was hand-drawn using ink pens on Bristol board, using one of my own photographs as reference. Penguins are aquatic flightless birds, all of who have wings that have adapted into flippers suitable for their marine environment. The humboldt penguin (Spheniscus humboldti) is a vulnerable species of South American penguin found along most of coastal Chile and Peru.
