This drawing depicts three emaciated, skeletal figures lying in hospital beds. The somber scene is highlighted by their hollow, lifeless faces and thin limbs. They appear to be in a ward with metal bed frames against an orange background. The central figure holds a bowl, while the front figure looks at a piece of paper. A small bedside table stands between them, holding a mug and pills. The style is along the lines of macabre or dark art, with sketchy line work emphasizing the frailness of the figures.
