About this Design
The image depicts three flamingos in flight against a deep blue sky. The birds are painted with pink and black hues, with elongated necks and outstretched wings. Each bird is dynamically positioned, capturing a sense of movement and grace. The thick, expressive brushstrokes convey a lively atmosphere, emphasizing the vivid contrast between the flamingos and the blue background.
@LlamaSuelta
Three flamingos mid-flight against a deep blue sky. The Atacama salt flats of northern Chile are home to three species of flamingo, and seeing them fly is nothing like a zoo or a postcard. They move fast, they move together, and the contrast of pink and black wings against the high-altitude sky hits different when you're standing in the driest desert in the world. This painting came from that. Bold brushwork, movement, color. Printed from my original oil painting on canvas, 25x25 cm, hand-signed. The flat print strips the texture, but keeps the thing that made it worth painting in the first place: three birds going somewhere.
